Group Work – The Art of Change

1571348602Dream. Inquire. Embody.

Unfortunately, there’s no magic bullet for growth and change; they seldom arrive overnight and rarely flourish in isolation. Growth and change require persistence and inspiration, and more importantly, they need a community to walk with, learn from, and share with.

The Art of Change is a year-long online program that supports healing, growth, and the cultivation of embodied leadership. It offers participants access to a small and intimate group practice space with four or five members, who meet monthly for learning, inquiry, and support.

Your starting point for the program is to envision where you want to be with your work, creativity, health, relationships, and any other pillar you wish to explore one year, five years, and ten years from now. From there, with peer support, you’ll begin implementing and experimenting with practices, routines, and tools that can help you fulfill that vision.

Ultimately, this program explores how we can artistically combine the grounding energies of discipline, accountability, and commitment with the uplifting forces of creativity, self-compassion, and play to create a tapestry of inspired action that can support true generative transformation in ourselves and in the larger circles to which we are connected.

Here’s a Road Map.

  • Month 1: Goals, inspiration, and motivation
  • Month 2: Resources for the journey
  • Month 3: Soul: Inner World/Under World
  • Month 4: Spirit: Nondual explorations
  • Month 5-11: Rebuilding the system through the Chakras (5-Somatic Awareness, 6-Emotional Intelligence, 7-Will and Action, 8-Relational Awareness, 9-Authentic Communication, 10-Creativity and Imagination, 11-Transpersonal Awareness through Leadership and Service).

Let’s look at the Structure.

  • Each cohort will have four or five participants.
  • Each group will have one monthly hour-and-a-half-long call (for groups with five participants, calls will run for one hour and 50 minutes).
  • The group call will explore theories and tools connected to change and include experiential practices and reflective dialogues.
  • In between each monthly group call, participants will have one half-hour check-in call with a peer in their cohort that they schedule. Additionally, participants will be expected to write at least one journal entry monthly in the group online WhatsApp space to keep track of and share progress, setbacks, and other relevant information.
  • The program’s arc is structured around a curriculum composed of monthly themes and weekly inquiries or reflections that you can explore.
  • Lastly, each participant will receive an hour-long somatic-based coaching session with the facilitator (Weston Pew) each month.

The theory and tools addressed in this program are pulled from various disciplines, including behavioral change theory, somatic-based mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, depth psychology, and social psychology and philosophy.

This program’s core theoretical foundation is based on individual experiential wisdom and the cultivation of more profound levels of self-artistry, intuition, and love, which lie at the heart of meaningful change.

Participant expectations include the following:

This program is designed for participants who are ready to deepen their commitment to themselves and, in turn, to the world.

Therefore, if you participate, you are expected to show up fully for yourself and the others in your cohort to the best of your ability. Doing this will create the space necessary for lasting change in yourself and your life.

Price: The tuition for this program is $1,980. Before the start of the course, monthly ($180) or quarterly ($495) payment plans can be arranged. Additionally, partial scholarships may be available.
